LB Design can help guide a client to select the right appliances, cabinetry, counter top materials and lighting. With great attention to detail, which is our forte, we can make the overwhelming task of designing a kitchen or bath a pleasant experience

Project Management - Clients often have busy lives and schedules and do not choose to deal with the aggravation of dealing with trades. LB Design can provide the invaluable service of scheduling and coordinating a project so it runs flawlessly. When you need to be away on an extended trip or at work LB Design , as their Designer can ensure that the job is completed in a timely manner so you can return to a finished project.

Site Visits - During the construction of the design, this is an essential and valuable service that a designer can provide. Often contractors and installers choose to substitute products and materials in order to save time and money on a project without realizing the impact this would have on the design. Since they are not trained designers they do not see the difference between using one product over another. LB Design can make periodical site visits as needed to ensure that design details are correctly implemented in the field.

Custom Furniture and Built-ins - Built-ins are an ingenious solution to accommodate many different functions in a condensed space. LB Design works with several talented cabinet makers to create the right design for you. Although custom furniture and built-ins cost a little more than ready made furniture, LB Design knows how to use the right materials to make it cost effective without sacrificing creativity.

Space Planning - Space planning is the heart of all good design. As a Designer I would caution anyone from investing in any furniture purchases without a functional and scaled space plan. LB Design can provide more than one way to furnish a room and at the end of the process provide the client with a floor plan that has the size and dimensions of each piece of furniture that would fit the space. This is a tool that a client can carry with them as they make their furniture selections, avoiding any costly mistakes.

Drawings – LB Design can create to-scale drawings of perspectives, elevations, reflective ceiling plans, renderings, custom furniture, cabinetry & built-ins. This will allow the you to envision the project as the Designer sees it. WE CAN ALSO DO 3D RENDERINGS

Lighting Design - Lighting is one of the elements that provides drama and infuses a client's space with ambience. We provide customized solutions to our client's needs and on some large projects we team up with a lighting designer. A successful lighting design is layering with architectural and decorative lighting using incandescent, fluorescent and halogen light sources.

Window and Floor Coverings - Selection of window and floor coverings can be challenging as new products are introduced all the time. An experienced designer can not only assist you in the initial selection but also provide you invaluable information on the long term performance of the products.

Colour Consultation - Colour is an elusive element to work with, it takes many years of experience and a trained eye to master the process of specifying the right tone or tint. Colour is influenced by the type of light as well as other colours in the space. LB Design can help you determine a colour scheme for your entire project or pick that one perfect accent colour for a single wall which can make the space look amazing.

If you are thinking of planning a major project, we will come to your space for an initial consultation (free of charge and with no obligation) to discuss your needs and the scope of work that will be involved. We will prepare a detailed quotation of our services for your consideration that will include an overall estimated cost for our services. This has been extremely helpful for our clients in the past, as it has provided all parties involved (including the contractor) with a project template and a working document that we can refer to throughout the transformation. It’s also great for budgeting and ensures that we all stay on course. We are absolutely committed to providing our clients with detailed billing (The Project Diary) AND remember: IF WE DON’T USE THE TIME INDICATED IN OUR QUOTATION, YOU DON’T PAY FOR IT! Just in case you were wondering... Yes, you can change your mind... We have a simple “change order form” that we will complete if there is any change in scope that occurs during the completion of the project. See our FAQ for more info.

Hourly Interior Design Services
